In daily life, we can divide towels different types. According to their using of towels, towels can be divided into: hand towels, face towels, bath towels, bath mats, and bathrobes. Common colors include all white towels, plain towels, striped towels, printed towels, etc. According to the weaving process of towels, they can be divided into: plain weave, color weave, satin weave, satin edge, jacquard (satin weave), and multi-color jacquard. According to the weaving method of towels, there are two types: knitted and woven. Towels are fabrics with a loop structure made up of interwoven yarns from three systems. The yarns of these three systems are wool warp, ground warp, and weft. With the development of technology, warp knitted towel fabrics have emerged again. These towel loops are firmly fixed, but their forms are relatively simple, so the vast majority of them on the market are machine woven towels.

There are several methods to judge the quality of towels

01/

Weaving defects

Mainly include broken warp, broken weft, pulling, uneven loops, flat fabric pulling, burrs, rolled edges, uneven seam edges, and skipped stitches at the seam edges. The above problems can usually be identified by looking through sunlight or observing them flat.

02/

 Appearance defects

Mainly include discoloration, color mixing, rust stains, stains, oil stains, crooked and blurry wood prints, and other defects. This is a problem with printing and dyeing, which can generally be identified by the naked eye.

03/

Fragile and defective products

This is due to improper bleaching and color treatment, resulting in the occurrence of oxidized cellulose or hydrolyzed cellulose, leading to brittle and damaged fabrics. Severe cases can be easily punctured with just one poke. Generally, fabrics that are gray white or have a gray tint are prone to this type of problem. Extract two cotton yarns from the fabric. If the sound of yarn breakage is crisp, it indicates good quality; There is no crisp sound, indicating a quality issue.

04/

Weight

If the yarn is woven tightly, it will have strong water absorption performance. A standard weight towel is generally heavier than a towel with less cotton thread, so an important indicator of the quality of a towel is its light and heavy weight, which is the best quality. The quality rating of towel products is based on a comprehensive evaluation of internal quality and appearance quality, and is divided into first, second, and third class products. Products below third class are considered substandard.
